We are seeking an initiative-taking Scheduler/Planner to develop and maintain an accurate and efficient production schedule. This role will strategically manage raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory to ensure timely customer deliveries while upholding Auto Bolt’s financial responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, and manufacturing capability.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to coordinate tooling in support of the production schedule.
  • Analyze Production Requirements Planning (PRP) to optimize stock levels for critical items and achieve inventory goals.
  • Oversee inventory cycle counts for Raw and WIP materials, ensuring accuracy.
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to schedule timely and accurate material deliveries, maintaining inventory objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Service to establish reliable delivery commitments.
  • Proactively engage with Operations to identify resource needs and contribute to capacity planning.
  • Ensure the accuracy of lead times within routings.
  • Anticipate scheduling conflicts and adjust production plans proactively.
  • Regularly review and update Run rates for precise scheduling and standard costing.
  • Provide comprehensive training to new operators on the ERP system.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proven strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Proficient in MS Office; comfortable with technology
  • Experience with the Plex ERP system is a plus but not required.
